DC BLOX's existing server environment had become difficult to manage — aging hardware, limited redundancy, inconsistent cabling, expanding storage needs, and a growing cybersecurity threat landscape meant its infrastructure could no longer be trusted to support business-critical applications, databases, file services, and remote users without risking a single point of failure becoming a full outage.
What DC BLOX got.
Tankoh took on the full data center lifecycle — assessment and architecture through installation, migration, and ongoing management. The build included enterprise server racks with structured fiber and copper cabling; a virtualized, high-availability compute cluster; centralized enterprise storage with RAID protection and snapshots; segmented networking (dedicated VLANs for server, storage, backup, management, user, voice, wireless, guest, and security/IoT traffic, plus a DMZ); a next-generation firewall with intrusion prevention and secure VPN access; Active Directory identity and access management; a separate backup and disaster-recovery strategy built around defined recovery point and recovery time objectives; UPS power protection with environmental monitoring; secure remote administration; and full infrastructure documentation. Production systems were migrated in planned, validated stages rather than all at once. Ongoing managed services now cover 24/7 monitoring, server and network administration, cybersecurity, backup and disaster recovery, patching, and capacity planning.
